  1. So walls can dry and little critters hide in your socks! Has to be worth it though since it’s one of the Canary islands off Africa warm weather year round, beaches and volcanic landscapes. Sounds like a true paradise! I can see me sitting back and enjoying a Pina Colada and with my beach butler, Juan fanning me with a large fan so I don’t get too hot har har har.. quite an imagination eh?

    • Yes they are off the coast of Morocco, lovely and warm and very tropical. Actually a few of the Canary islands have black beaches from the volcanoes which is a bit strange. I have been to Fuerteventura, but not the others, you can see Lanzarote from Fuerteventura.

The beaches in Fuerteventura are white/yellow sand, it is said that the sand there comes from the Sahara Desert, the dunes are 30 to 40 feet tall amazing.

Personally I like the Balearic Island especially Majorca and Minorca. I stayed in the north of Majorca once next door to where Sean Connery used to live, sadly he didn’t invite me round for tea!

I have to say if you want a Beach Butler and loads of really wonderful cocktails then I would suggest a place closer to home… go to Barbados, it is heaven. I spent nearly three months there when I was working for their government, it was heaven. Happily they gave me a bungalow on the beach, a few maids, a driver and the rest, I had a great time and even got some work done har ha.
