Yellow seawater? Really, you think!   Leave a comment

Yellow seawater Hong Kong

I have never ever seen or swum in yellow seawater and so somehow I don’t believe that the yellow water mentioned in this sign is seawater do you?

Not only that how does the ‘seawater’ make the floor slippery? I don’t know about you dear cuddly Christmasy reader I really don’t want to visit this toilet do you, or swim in the waters off Hong Kong for that matter!

What are you doing in Christmas no man’s land?   Leave a comment

Christmas no man s land

In 1914 the opposing sides in the (not so) Great War had a get together in No Man’s Land, shared some rations, a ciggy or two and most importantly stopped bashing each others brain out, although the authorities now deny that it ever took place!

It’s reported that they even played a game of football, I suppose the Germans won, don’t they always, but the result isn’t recorded sadly!

So my question is what are you doing in Christmas no man’s land? Personally I am working which is annoying, but at least I am home and can enjoy the flashing christmas lights and the pingy pongy tiny carol music that they generate to set parents teeth on edge.

I have to say I am, unusually, rather looking forward to 2016 and I hope that you are too and that the New Year is more of a blessing than a curse to everyone who reads this little blog.

Happy New Year. There I thought I would get in early before the Skype users break the internet on New Year’s Eve!

Christmas Eve

I thought I would tell everyone that tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Just in case you don’t know or have been out of the planet for a while!

Welsh view of Christmas!   Leave a comment

Welsh view of Christmas Tondu Wales

No wonder the store is closing and the To Let sign has been put up if that is the Welsh view of Christmas!

I hope that your Christmas dear cuddly reader is better that the one in Tondu, Wales where you ask?

Well Tondu is near Bridgend, Wales, the English translation of the word ‘Tondu’ is ‘Black Sward’ don’t ask me what a Sward is in this context, the only ‘Sward’ I know is an area of short grass, never seen Black Grass in either long or short varieties though have you?

Anyway back to Tondu, Wales or not! Frankly I’d rather have a glass of Egg Nog than write any more about Tondu, Wales and I’m pretty sure that you, dear cuddly reader, would rather have a similar glass, filled to the brim, than read about it too.

If I don’t have too many glasses of Egg Nog between now and tomorrow I write again!

Oh! Sorry about the headline as I wrote it I was told it was far too early to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and then get on a flight for the Caribbean to escape the dreadful weather!

I have to say that I think that’s rather cruel, I like the Caribbean and the thought of a few weeks basking in the sun, being granted my every wish by a team of dedicated hotel professionals is my idea of heaven.

Hang on though this is the 21st century and most modern techno things work anywhere, that settles it, I’m off! Byeeeeeee!

I’d say I would be thinking of you when sipping a Rum Punch on Christmas Day and tucking into a festive Swordfish Steak, but sadly that wouldn’t be true and that in no way reflects on you of course, I adore all my cuddly readers and am very grateful to them for buying my books (and not using them as door stops).

Happy Christmas One and All!
