The English always welcoming Brockenhurst

It’s the height of the English summer holiday season and as you can see the good people of Brockenhurst are offering a hearty welcome to almost all, while of course exhibiting that good old English prejudice!

I can’t understand why you would want to go to the village of Brockenhurst but if you do here is a little information all about a place that obviously is desperately Americanophobic!

Brockenhurst is the largest village by population within the New Forest, Hampshire, England and dates back four thousand years before the New Forest in fact which was only planted by William the Conqueror in 1079.

It should be said that not all residents are prigs, just the ones who run The Penny Farthing Hotel and Holiday Cottages.

  1. That’s dreadful! How on earth can they put that on a sign… And who are these ‘George’ous guests… do they only let people called George in? Probably best to avoid at all costs…

    • I know, what terrible people must run that place.

I love the new forest and if I didn’t spend sometime in it I also regularly drove through it once, when I lived in down that way, it was a great place to see how fast ones car could go. I suggest that everyone who planned to visit does what I used to do, drive through it and find somewhere not so prejudiced.
