yea RIGHT!? u havent seen kids filled with sugar n in the toy dept

    • That’s true. Thought I have to say I have a sort of idea about sugar and sugary treats. When my eldest daughter was old enough to toddle and fast enough to evade capture, if you see what I mean, I put loads of bowls out all over the house filled with sweets, for the first week or two she did her level best to empty them and then stopped completely. As a consequence she doesn’t care much for sugar or sweets and I have to say never had a sugar fueled episode in her life so never misbehaved in the way you describe at home or out, so the blame is with the parent there I am sure. In fact when we lived together alone after her mother deserted her when she was six we actually didn’t have a pack of sugar in the food cupboard.

Truth to tell I ate more sweeties than her and every time I asked if she wanted one she would say no.

I am not I have to stress against sweets or sugar but pro choice.

      • cool..i grew up sugar junkie..yet my mom attempt with health fruits n veggies.

      • I think that you should never force kids to ‘do’ anything. The more laid back you are about ‘things’ the less likely ‘things’ whatever they may be become an issue! But then as a single parent you fond you have to be ready to compromise, well I did. Most of my daughter’s friends thought she had a pretty cool Dad and wanted to stay over whenever they could, but I have a feeling that there were some people who thought I wasn’t a strict enough parent.

But I do truly believe that children have a voice and are entitled to their opinion, unlike most parents I have encountered who seem to want to make their children do stuff just because they are adults!

        Have a great day.

      • thanx..say hi to lena n kisses for evelyn

      • You are so kind thanks. We are trying to get the little one to go to sleep now bless her. Eyelids are heavy but won’t close!
